Pause Membership

Hi!

I would like to use the membership function to offer unlimited yoga classes, but was wondering if there was any way to place these on hold when I take holidays etc? Eg if I take 2 weeks off classes, can I pause all of the memberships for the 2 weeks and then restart so they are still just paying for when classes are active? Hope that makes sense!

Hi Stacey,

I hate to say it but the simple answer is no. As far as I can tell there are complicated ways of pausing payment collection in Stripe but unfortunately this will not update the membership expiry in Smoothbook: your customer’s memberships will still be cancelled when they expire.

I think the easiest and simplest way of managing this would be to offer some kind of refund based on the time that you’re not available. So half a month’s subscription fee if you were away for two weeks? Or you could do something in kind: free extra classes or something like that.
